I think this message board is the source of a lot of adult ADD--what do you think Wet Willy?

Maybe I'll run down to Starbucks... But do I want to go all the way in heels or flip flops? Need to get new Reefs. Then I start shopping online. Vicious cycle... :bang:

Ok, time for the expert's opinion. I was diagnosed with ADD almost 100 years ago. By the way, you can have ADHD w/out hyperactivity. I saw a segment on the Today show today.

Ok, I have ADD. So I took that quiz and I too need to see a physician. What do you know! I have to take medicine every day or I would literally get nothing done.

Stratera- Didn't like it. You take it at night and it's supposed to gradual work. Uh uh, adderal kicks in about 30 minutes and you know it!

By the way, I am supposed to be cleaning my closet out right now but what am I doing....

Did you see the segment on the Today show Kimmi?

Yes! That's what made me research it. Once I get on insurance I'm going to take advantage on it.

Miranda said I have anxiety problems. It's ADD. Period. End of subject.

Until then...Caffine will do.

Insurance helps alot because it is expensive. And these days, a doctor will prescribe it to any one. I think every single one of my friends in college took medication at one time or another.

We had some really intense coversations around exam time.

I have tried the drugs as well....I can't really remember, but didn't get the desired result. Darn, I was hoping I would have lots of energy, finish something and lose weight all at the same time!!! Now we know why we like this board so much!!!!

When my son was first diagnosed, they put him on Concerta but it didn't do any good. I pinched the remainder of his prescription (omigod, I've never admitted this to anyone, not even my husband!). One of the side effects is Loss of Appetite. Golden words for anyone who has to lose five pounds of winter fat!!!!!!!! Well, they worked but that stuff is awful. I was wired, and I mean wired. The five pounds came off in five minutes. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on some more Concerta (got a different five pounds now), but now our son is on Adderol and he won't share. So I live with the ADD and haunt the solwal beach board!

Oh my gosh....if I get to meet any one of you I will be diagnosing you! haha

In case you didn't know, I am a licensed mental health therapist .... meaning LICENSED to diagnose these disorders. I have numerous adult clients with ADHD without hyperactivity and with.

My husband is a psychiatrist, he passes out the meds (AKA the good stuff!!) ! :clap_1:

"You show symptoms that may be consistent with Adult ADHD. It may be beneficial for you to talk with your healthcare provider about an evaluation"

Uh-oh....here's my results! I'd love to stay and chat, but I need to get back to finishing up one of these three projects sitting on my desk in various stages of completion. Oh, and then there's the one that I started back in March.........now what did I do with that file? :lolabove:
