It's all in the stats and how you figure them. I'm not too worried that she is truly rivaling Elvis considering it was the tagline for the Parade magazine insert in the sunday paper. :roll:

She has sold 76 million albums and has 16 hit singles - 2 less than Elvis and 4 less than the Beatles, but has quite a way to go to "beat" Elvis's estimated 1 BILLION album sales and 110 gold, platinum and multi platinum albums and singles.

I liked her old music. She's one of the few entertainers who gave back before it was the 'in' thing. For many years she's hosted a camp for inner city children in upstate New York. What I found distasteful was when she visited her home town here on LI, she was dresed inappropriatly for her free shows at the school. It was a poor choice when one is such a role model for our youth...
