O.k. boys and girls Mariah Carey is about to break Elvis's record for the most hits or something like that. Stop the train wreck now!!!! Personally I can't stand the woman but that a whole new thread. Stop buying her music now. I sure Nostradamus saw this coming!!!:trainwreck:

Maybe she IS about to break Elvis' record, but everyone in America seems to have a CD player or ipod, as compared to the days when Elvis was making hits. IMO, it isn't even a comparison. Not that I would ever buy another Mariah Carey album again. lol. I used to have one on cassette.

I know, it's so easy to buy music nowadays. With an iPhone it's practically instantaneous. I agree, no comparison.

In a reply to a previous post...Just wanted to add....I don't think Elvis made any bad movies. Some of my best childhood memories are watching his movies on Saturday afternoons.

The lack of respect shown to prominent hair icons on this board is beginning to bother me. First, people imply Sheryl Crowe is a "pop singer" most famous for dating a Uniball, and now all this disrespect for Mariah Carey.

These women have some of the best hair in the world, people. Do you people have ANY IDEA how difficult it is to keep hair long, shiny, bouncy, and dimensionally highlighted for years? Do you not respect the artistry involved in always keeping the style current but timeless? No, I think not.

You people make me sick. At least Elvis knew and respected good hair.

Yes, but it also easy to pirate music these days. So does that mean she is actually further ahead than Elvis?
