Sorry to hear the bad news LL... but I'm glad everyone is ok. That is really scary! I hope they catch those guys soon.

tis the season for burglary - the paper had listed ways to be safe and protect you home and belongings. seems there are two rings working around here now; one is breaking into homes, the other is going around stealing mail. don't you love criminals? when i was little our house was in the country and the closest neighbors were my aunt and uncle who live a quarter mile away. my dad went pheasant hunting in the midwest a lot and always told me and mom if someone breaks in, shoot to kill, then drag 'em inside.

Our paper had a similar list. Like, don't leave your doors unlocked. Well, duh! I mean, I've got my array of Uzi's connected to motion detectors, ready to strike, and they're saying dumb stuff like "lock your doors"?

Just kidding about the Uzi's.

I do wish I had one of those. I do have guns in my bedroom and always have but I'm not too sure how I'd do if I was woken up in the middle of the night. I usually don't even know who I am right when I wake up so I'm a little weary of my shooting skills. We also sleep with this guy who can put up a hell of a fight. Seen him do it too!

I know our mastiffs would never let anyone in the house. Elwood is little (only 135 pounds) but he is as fierce as all get-out. We don't let either of them on the bed though. ;-)

Love the name Elwood. That's great! Mack is a boxer. That pic is from when he was about a year old. I've always wanted a Mastiff. They are beautiful dogs.
