Please don't go down this road folks, or the vast 30A right wing conspiracy will be on your butts!

Don't you mean left wing? As the right wing won't be on my butt, they would be counting.

So, I am guessing that as of Jan 21, the tally will start for Obama. :dunno:

Obama didn't start the thing! The "tally" will still be part of the Bush administration's legacy. As of January 21st, Obama will begin the process of departing Iraq as soon as possible without doing more damage to the region.

But he'll be moving troops to Afghanistan - will his tally start there?

Hnooe, even though I've been as polite as I possibly could, I think I've been on that list for quite some time already. As it turned out, there was somewhat of a right wing (neo-con) conspiricy, wasn't there? It just failed in the end.

To a point I would whole heartedly agree that it would be part of the bush legacy, but there has to be a point in which it becomes the sitting presidents. Is it after the X number of months that Obama stated in his election pledge that he would remove all troops or....

But he'll be moving troops to Afghanistan - will his tally start there?

maybe he will get a pass on the Iraq tally as long as he doesn't choose to increase the scope of involvement through an increase in troops. Since he is talking about increasing the number of troops (i.e. scope) and thus believes we should be in Afghanistan then I say he owns this one from day one.

Possibly, but let's wait and see what actually happens, shall we? I don't think he could do a worse job than the Bush administration has done. Who knows, we might have been finished with that one by now if it wasn't for the error of pulling resources out to use in Iraq. We'll never know now, will we? Both wars will be Bush legacy items.
