I can't play DVDs on my laptop anymore. Yesterday I volunteered to help set up the AV for the projectors for the contemporary service at church (videos, audio, hymn lyrics projected
). I prefer classical music at church. The contemporary crap is all working at church, but now I can't play a DVD on my laptop.
I can see the video, but I have no sound. Any suggestions? I really wanted to watch Almost Famous tonight. ARGH! I can see the video, but there is no audio. I am not a hardware person -- I am into computer science theory. Any help would be greatly appreciated.I always depend on my IT staff people for practical stuff,

...well, seeing as if I have never put a DVD in my computer, I guess I can't help you! I did just find the button that opens it on the side!

When I change the sound setting to stereo headphones, I can hear sound from my laptop on the church's sound system to Usher's "Yeah!" (I was teased me that this would be the last time that Usher was played at First Meth). But when I change the sound settings back to to "Desktop Stereo Speakers", there is no sound when I play a DVD on my laptop.
