So we're blaming the DA after the arresting officer beat the defendant on camera?

I'm not down with any of this.

9-11 was terrible. Nuts killed a lot of innocent people. Those responsible should be punished. But newsflash- this is still the United States. When bad guys commit a crime they are arrested and the judical system runs its course.

I am against this idea of a phoney court, a bogus trial with a predetermined result.

The prosecution needs to build a case. Testimony from witnesses or the accused while they are under duress won't hold up.

Did anyone inform the jury that none of this was real? Because it seems apparent that they based their decison on the merit of what was presented to them in court.

I would feel the same way whether George Bush, Barack Obama or Sarah Palin were in office. Mine is not a partisan stance.

Not sure which part of my judgement seems flawed.

War on Terror isn't an actual war. It is a paradigm- a mindset that causes people to act crazy based on irrational fear.
War criminals deserve a miltary tribunal...nothing more and nothing less. They damn sure do not deserve American rights.Gitmo is the perfect place for these to take place.

Which war are we talking? I'm aware of some brown skinned nuts who blew themselves up and killed innocents. Some of those nuts used planes on American soil. Some of those nuts were in a skiff in a harbor next to one of our navy ships.

But I don't believe either of these acts were during wartime. Pls set me straight.

I don't sympathize for these scumbags. I just don't believe that you can decide that the work of some nuts belongs judged in a war tribunal because you say the words War on Terror a bunch of times.

It seems that we were at war when its convenient and it was a terrorist act when we are discussing something else.

And once again - the evidence/witness would have been inadmissible in a military court too.

The terrorist is in prison and we didn't have to trample on our justice system or ideals to put him there.

Then you must support the ACLU, who is there to defend the rights of everyone regardless of political persuasion.

No. I just want conservative Americans protected. Liberals complain too much and pretend America is bad. They're expendable.
