Mermaid-Thanks for that information. I called but they are all out of 30-A maps and I was told the new ones would not be in until March. That's ok; I will have it for next years search.

I know I mentioned after we came home last month that we'd seen this building and thought it was really attractive. I found a website, and the website clearly says it is commercial and vacation rentals. So, I used the contact info and asked when the units would be available for vacation rentals, and a very nice person emailed me back and said there were to be no vacation rentals. :dunno:

Not having seen the condo docs, I cannot say, but I would think the units are available for short term rentals. I will try to remember to find out tomorrow. The ground floor will be commercial and the upper three levels are residential.

SJ, I'll try to dig through my AOL old mail and find the emails from the woman I was in contact with. I'd appreciate anything else you could find out, thanks!

I think you are correct. Where has wetwilly been lately? :dunno:

Yes you did check on our house Lemon Drop and thanks for the kind words from everyone. The house is at www.findvacationrentals.com/7475 and kurt's virtual tour is at www.emeraldcoasttours.com/20brownstreet/. It is booking up pretty fast for 2006 so let me know soon.

Anyone interested in the house just let me know. We love the area of Eastern Lake and the Summer's Edge community is very nice. We can get to Seaside, Rosemary, the state parks, and Grayton with ease. Publix is just 1-2 miles away too.

BTW, I told your wife about a new router that might help you get wireless in the carriage house. It is made by Belkin, and I understand that is is great for distances according to the saleman at MicroCenter. I am looking at it for my parent's house.

i have a belkin(just got rid of a dlink 624)and it rocks. never drops service and has a huge footprint.

I'm surprised! I was under the impression that Cassine Station would be available for rental after March 2006! I believe it was South Walton Realty that was going to be handling the rentals. However, if I'm not mistaken, I think that South Walton Beach Resorts is now Royal Beach & Golf Resorts?
http://www.royalbeachrentals.com/ At least the folks that used to work at SWBR are now the same who are at Royal, and the phone number is the same. They're located in Grayton Beach temporarily, but I've been told that they'll be leasing an office on the first floor of Cassine Station as soon as it's complete. Not sure who you talked to, but I'd call them back at 850-534-0841 and ask for Denise (manager) or Jessica to get the straight scoop.

Luvthebeach is correct about the name change of the rental agency. Cassine Station may indeed be completed and ready to go by March '06. I have not heard about Royal Rentals taking space on the ground floor, but that may be possible. I somewhat doubt it though, because the RE Broker that is moving in also owns a rental company which is hoping to open shop in SoWal in Feb. -- my guess is that it will be at that same location, and I cannot see Mr Howard (developer of Cassine) wanting to have two rental companies in that building. I have yet to speak to any owners of Cassine Station about who they will be using to rent their units. I would bet that many of the buyers are flippers and have not signed up to rent them because they are intending to flip them when they close.

Good question. There are several new businesses in the area since this time last year. Several in the shops of Uptown Grayton, including Another Broken Egg Cafe, and a few more shops in the Shops of Grayton North. Amore, located in Gulf Place, Shades at the Loop, ...

anyone else want to chime in?
