Be on the look out. Friends have reported seeing several coyotes in the Lakewood/Seagrove area and there was an article in the Sun this morning about sightings of Fl panthers in the Pt. Wasshington area. The coyotes have been seen hunting in the day time and walking up and the street in residential neighborhoods. I know we have taken their land away and have no other choice but to look for food elsewhere, just wanted to caution pet owners.

I want to know where the skunks are?

A couple years ago in central florida I was told by a couple fish and wildlife guys that skunks were mysteriously disappearing in florida.

I haven't seen (or smelled) a single skunk since I moved down here.

I watched another bobcat out my back window a couple days ago. It was a different one than the one I video taped a few months ago. Maybe we'll find some bobkittens in the spring!

A coyote ran across Route 283 in front of my car the other day. We also had a family of wild pigs in our yard in Old Seagrove last summer.

I had the pleasure of watching four members of our family of nine red wolf/coyotes today. They spent about 30 minutes just hanging out by the pond.
It was mom, dad, and two of this years litter. This was the first time I've seen mom with her winter coat, and oohwee does she look amazing. With her distinct white markings and white tipped tail she looks like a beautiful bushy siberian husky. Again I wish I had a better zoom on my video camera.

I was also excited to see that the one pup that was real sick back in August is doing just fine. It was the only one that looked just like the dad with redish orange fur. They were kicking back together in the sun on the bank of the pond.
