We are going to Denver next Thursday - Tuesday mainly to go see the Saints play the Broncos. I have been to Denver before but just for a night as we generally headed up to WInter Park/Granby area to ski.

Besides the museum (which we are going to) what else is fun to do? I have read some travel web sights but wanted some SoWal input as well... Oh, and little IBD is going.

Have you been to pike's peak? garden of the gods? Colorado Springs is a beautiful area. You can gamble in Cripple Creek-neat little mining town turned casinos. Heck just driving around in the Rocky Mtns. is an adventure.

Have funn !

If you are at all into yupscale shopping, you might enjoy the Cherry Creek Shopping Center and Cherry Creek North. Those are my old stomping grounds, we used to live within walking distance of Cherry Creek North.
The Denver Botanic Gardens is nice. We used to take out-of-towners to The Fort restaurant so they could see Red Rocks and enjoy some hearty western fare. The aspen should be turning gold around the time you are there. Don't know how much skiing you can do, though.
There is also a wonderful bookstore called The Tattered Cover. It used to be in Cherry Creek, but has relocated.
They do have a satellite store in LoDo.
Have a great time, the weather should be beautiful.

My best friend whose son lives in Denver said this is the best fun ever and here to eat.

Cherry Creek Mall is ok, but it's just an upscale mall, nothing that unique.

If you have kids, dining at Casa Bonita is perfect, if you're older you might find it a little cheezy. The diver in the middle of the restaraunt is pretty neat regardless, and don't foreget to walk through the tunnel! :D Good enchiladas too. :D

Downtown - the tabor center and the 16th street mall for walking, shopping, and eating. Lots to stuff to do down there.

Elitches if you're into amusement parks, it's right down town.

There's gambling up in Blackhawk and Central City if you have a day and a car to get there.

Lots of museums, including the childrens history museum if you have kids. The denver zoo, and the aqaurium if you're into that.
