I agree folks. I like FOX News, too. It's refreshing to have a news outlet that gives a voice to mainstream America.

I always thought of CNN and the network news as being free campaign ads for dems. CNN seems to have its anti-Bush campaign in full swing. I mean, what with Katrina and that Cindy woman. And they make the Iraqi people out to be "victims" of our military. That's why I thought it was strange that the BX on Hurlburt and one of its office buildings had their TV sets tuned in to CNN. :dunno:

I, too, like Fox news to get the other side's opinion. The only balance it has is the balance to CNN and the likes. Fox News itself is not balanced. Alan Colmes doesn't carry enough weight to balance the other guys. I will say that their hurricane coverage is usually pretty good coverage.

Alan Colmes is not the only liberal on Fox News Channel. If that was the case I would agree with you. Studies have been done by independent media watch dog groups that show Fox to be more balanced than the others. "CNN and the likes" don't even attempt to present both sides of an issue.

I hear you say "more" balanced, but more balanced that what, CNN? That ain't sayin' much. Who is the other liberal on Fox?

I love Fox news. No other media outlet even comes close to being "fair and balanced" IMHO. They report I decide.

You realize you just quoted two of the tag lines they feed us in hope that we'll bite. They got you.

A fish does not see the water in which it swims. Dems see (the left leaning) CNN as the voice of reason. Repubs see (the right wing) FOX as Fair and Balanced. All news is filtered through some kind of political strain, if you haven't learned that by now you may be the kind of person easily swayed by propaganda. A perfect TV news viewer. They got you.

If anyone was really, truly interested in getting both sides of the story, then "deciding for themselves", they'd watch CNN, FOX and most importantly, the international news agency reports, and then decide. Please dont think one network is giving you the whole story.

I respect your opinion Thumper but your post is rude.

The Peaceful Piney Woods.
The only two media outlets that I have found to show clear evidence of a political agenda, are CBS and the New York Times. I refuse to watch the first, or read the second. As far as the others, I may agree with their "view" or not, depending on the issue. I just take it all with a grain of salt, as we all should when taking in the news.

Thank you for expressing your opinion without ridiculing others. :clap_1: Thumper may want to ponder this " Pride goeth before the fall". Maybe he should watch his step.
