This may be too late but we drove that last 2 times. Both times stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. Also, instead of waiting on the shuttle service we would drive to the different park. No traffic, no trouble parking. Worked out real well for us. Also you can catch water taxis from Port Orleans that take you to downtown Disney.

I have not read this thread but am staying this week at The Boardwalk Resort and I love it. Of course 1. I am not paying for it (business) 2. I got a special room on the club level with free food and drinks almost all day, with a room overlooking the water and boardwalk. So of course I love it! Last night ate at the Flying Fish which was good but definitely not a family place...$$$$$$$$$...

You are too sweet! No I haven't but I did do the Spider Man thing at Islands of Adventure. Last weekend I was staying at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal (also free) so I did Universal Studios and the Isl. I like City Walk. Went to Margaritaville on Friday night. Today our meeting ends early so we can go do a park. I may go to the Magic Kingdom. I will not be riding a big roller coaster. I did the Space Mountain when I was a lot younger and had a headache the rest of the day. Let's see.....steeleing1 was 8. Yikes! I think it was all the jerking around. My body doesn't need that kind of stress! So what's a nice, fun, safe ride you could recommend?

Go to Epcot and do Soarin', spectacular ride.

Rockin Roller is a blast but very fast and you do a loop.

Tower of Terror as long as you don't have an aversion to elevators falling.

Pirates of the Carribbean, if you have not seen it since the redo with Johnny Depp, a not to be missed.

Haunted Mansions has also been redone, fun.

I love Peter Pan too. Big Thunder Mt. is a very fun roller coaster.

I so wish I was there with you, to give you the private "Minnie" tour.

Have fun. One of best friends is the assistant to the GM at the Boardwalk, so I am glad to hear you are enjoying it.

I found Soarin' the source of many a Bad Thought. It started out with 'Why can't they adapt the attraction to, like, actual Florida scenery instead of having to import the California stuff?' and ended up with 'Look, a bunch of Cubans rigged up an old Chevy so it would float across the staights. Is the Coast Guard boat over there going to see them, or are they going to make it to the Key?'

:rotfl: I have heard that they are considering a world version at Epcot, they did not feel the landscape of Florida would lend itself to the scale of the ride.
