Well I don't have your crystal ball :D, but we're ultimately going to find out how good or bad of a governor he is. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until he proves otherwise.

Isn't that what they said about Hitler...I'm just joking!! I'm just agreeing that neither Jeb Bush, nor Crist, were really that bad. I feel this guy is a big unknown, and we are stuck with him for four years. Rubio, on the other hand, is a complete unknown, and we are stuck with him... I guess you know the story.

My analysis of Obama is unchanged and IMHO his press conference today was a feeble attempt at damage control. He made it very plain that he was uninterested in any dialogue on health care or revisiting anything else passed in the last two years. So much for compromise, hearing the American people or extending an olive branch.
The truth is this election only serves to potentially prevent further damage being inflicted. To fix the problems and change course will require a majority in the Senate and a new President. It will also require Republicans to actually mean what they say and quit acting like Democrats once the election is over.

Miami..dammit!
Obama's speech yesterday was his version of The Emperor Has No Clothes! For those of you that think this was not a statement countrywide (along for the koolaid drinkers in California), you are just as naked as he is!! Goodbye National Healthcare! A law that will never get House funding now! It will be dismantled page by page. It's all but dead...at least until 2012. He can't get Senate support, either. Lieberman and Murkowsky will not support it, as will 3-4 new Dems. No way new Senator Manchin (WVa) will. For the most part, he has lost the Senate, too! And ACORN is bankrupt! Not a good showing for Chicago politics!

That is a beautiful sight!! No more trips to Venice to tuna fish. Those rigs are fish havens, job producers, and domestic oil producers.:D

Anyone who advocates for near shore drilling in Florida is a scalawag or just plain ig-no-runts. The fact is, the study commisioned by the state legislature determined that the amount of petroleum near shore is not enough to make a dent in domestic supply.

I do agree that rigs make for great fishing, but perhaps the better solution would be investment in Florida companies that produce artificial reef structures and more reef creation. I'm sure the good old boys in Tallawacky can figure out a way to skim some money out of this endeavor, so don't feel too sorry for them not chumming up with the petroleum carpetbaggers.

All about money, money, money, money----MONEY, in FL.

We need to produce oil, no doubt. But, to open the entire coastline (by including the Eastern Seaboard) of the United States is a grave mistake.

Right here!
While the Republican gains in the House and Senate are grabbing the most headlines, the most significant results on Tuesday came in state legislatures where Republicans wiped the floor with Democrats.

Republicans picked up 680 seats in state legislatures, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures -- the most in the modern era. To put that number in perspective: In the 1994 GOP wave, Republicans picked up 472 seats. The previous record was in the post-Watergate election of 1974, when Democrats picked up 628 seats.

The GOP gained majorities in at least 14 state house chambers. They now have unified control -- meaning both chambers -- of 26 state legislatures.
