My food issues can basically be summed up with:

-no internal organs (I feel that since I have tried liver and intestines I have given it the old college try), bones I have to crunch up and eat, feet, beaks etc.

-no to large quantities of certain stinky cheeses

-no to certain vegetables - brussel sprouts, lima beans, peas, okra, greens etc. If Mama Scooterbug won't serve it, I won't eat it!

-no pets (dog, cat, horse), bugs, or rodents

- I don't want to see the face of the animal on my plate, wall, or out the window while eating

-sauce & dressing on the side if I am unsure about contents

-if the contents of the dish came about because people were facing starvation, I don't have to eat it until I am!

must defend pretzels...not all are created equal
Great memory...buying soft pretzels after Mass on Sundays, 3 to a bag for a nickel...we had to fast in those days to receive communion and those soft, chewy, salty pretzels were a real treat on the way home from church
When our family travels to Sowal, we bring pretzels from home...we have many brands and varieties to choose from but in Florida, not much of a selection
And no trip to the mall is complete without an Auntie Anne's pretzel

I avoid lima beans...when I was a kid, big brothers told me they were spinach and I choked them down to be like Popeye. Once I learned the truth, never pass my lips...too mushy. No fan of brussels sprouts...my mom hated tuna fish, so I've never served it. Generally I avoid food with eyes still looking at me or antennae. Agree about organs. White chocolate is a waste of calories unless it is coating pretzels and peanuts.

Soft pretzels are good.

I really dislike mushy foods which puts me in the weird category of "anti-potato"- don't eat mashed, fried or baked. Also won't eat bananas or pudding for the same reason. Dislike most vegetables on principle but they don't stand a chance unless crunchy.

And I thought I was picky!

DD, you simply aren't cooking your squash and your broccoli long enough. I don't know who came up with this "crisp-tender" craze, but they should be hanged by the neck until dead, with crisp-tender green beans hanging out of their mouths. (Perhaps this is why I have weight issues, but still.)

Do not attempt to feed me mayonnaise or mustard. Or a raw onion. When cooked, it's tolerable and actually pretty good.

I adore scallops, and I can do cooked oysters, but I haven't yet worked up the courage to eat a raw one. I had a bad experience when I was little. One day, though, I'll do it.

No veal. It's probably good, but we never had veal locally until Publix came in.

No organ meats. No vienna sausages, or canned meat of any sort. And if Fuzz eats souse, hog-head cheese, cat-head stew (not actual cats, but catfish heads - the first time it was on the menu at the farm I got worried), anchovies or sardines in oil, he must take a shower and brush, floss and rinse well before attempting to kiss me. In fact, all sardines must be eaten outside.

And I am allergic to pecan, walnuts, and probably all tree nuts. As in, 911 allergic. Other than that, I'm fairly easygoing.
