Let's agree first of all that Hannity, Beck, and the gang on Fox and Friends go overboard with injecting their obvious right leaning beliefs in their shows. Honestly, I cannot watch any of them. I do think that the programming throughout the daytime on Fox is excellent and its pretty much all I watch other than Brett Baier in the evening. As far as the rantings on Fox getting all the simpletons stirred up, what exactly do you think is going on at the same time on MSNBC (sorry to bring them into the conversation, it seems to be a point of contention). Are you not willing to admit that Shultz, Olbermann, and Maddow stir up just as much crap from their end of the spectrum? Are they less evil because less people actually watch them? My point is that what you are complaining about regarding Fox is going on almost everywhere else in the news media, the only difference is that Fox leans right and most everyone else leans left. You've made some very articulate points here, I just think you may be too focused on Fox to see the big picture.

I see the big picture clearly. This thread wasn't about biased news sources or extreme viewpoints in today's media. It was about Fox.
If someone starts a thread about Simon and Garfunkel being lousy live and I didn't agree,,, I wouldn't defend them by pointing out that they aren't talking about all kinds of other groups I dislike who are lousy live.

P.S. Of course I admit that there are many in the media who spew rhetoric from the extreme left (e.g. Olbermann). Wouldn't you be weirded out if suddenly the masses considered them the premiere fair and balanced source of news?
Good point, well said. It would be nice to find a news source that was right down the middle, wouldn't it.
PBS news is pretty good as is the BBC.

I know that someone like you, Geo, won't watch anything like this but Red Eye on the Fox News channel is the most irreverent news hour going.
I am also gathering that folks in SoWal don't understand that their precious tourists mostly drive there, which means that they USE GASOLINE to get there.
And why haven't I seen any post that even gives a nod to Nashville and their plight?
