when you grow up, your mind
may become an illegal immigrant to your culture. good luck.
If that means I will get to pay instate tuition no matter where my future children decide to go to college, then I will be fine with that.

2 UGA students and 4 Georgia Tech students MIGHT be illegal aliens or they MIGHT just not have the correct form turned in.
Based on those numbers, IMO any student who think they were denied admittance because of illegal aliens needs to find a different scapegoat as to why they couldn't get in.
This is a bonafide might and maybe conversation Y'all are engaged.
If an applicant cannot show a student VISA (legit), green card for permanent residency, or prove US citizenship, I don't think he/she should be admitted to a public university. However, each University asks for citizenship status or proof of right to be here.....so, either the illegal is lying on the application or the University doesn't care if there are lies and therefore the admission boo-boo is on them.
While I think a lot of admission counselors would disagree with this statement because it does not take into account the randomness of college admissions, I'll say it is generally true.
I just joined the boardr. I don't understand why everyone isn't given the same opportunnity to go to college. My oldest son want to go and just because he doesnt have a piece of paper they will turn him down.
