I am glad the LANDMARK CREDIT CARD BILL passed.

Hopefully Obama will issue an executive order to overturn that bit of gun lobby stupidity they tacked onto it.

Don't hold your breath for that.

The bill passed the House and Senate easily. Most people in our country support 'stupid' gun rights.

Senate: 67 to 29 - Yes votes include Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
The House, which voted on the gun rights amendment separately, approved it 279-147. A total of 105 House Democrats and 174 Republicans supported the bill.

My favorite words from the amendment are these:

The Federal laws should make it clear that the second amendment rights of an individual at a unit of the National Park System or the National Wildlife Refuge System should not be infringed.

Bob, I asked you a specific question and you did exactly what I anticipated. You dodged the question. Instead you went off on additional diatribe. Have a nice day. I'm going to the park.
bubba from the wal mart counter or the others with rocks and sticks? protect me? is your point that armed citizens will keep law/order as a militia?

Good lord dude, grow up and do everyone on this baord the courtesy of defending your positions. 6thGen once informed me that you're actually a fairly intelligent and well educated individual. Personally I have my doubts. Are one liners the best you can do?

I think it's hard to imagine in the event of civil unrest being on the same side as Bubba the Wal-mart employee or Bubba the Wal-mart shopper for that matter.

I wonder how many army, navy, air force, marine, coast guard and retired of such, policemen, firemen, national guardsmen and who ever else protects us shop at Walmart. I even wonder how many concealed weapons permit holders belly up at Walmart. I also wonder how many bubba walmart shoppers have died serving our country so you and I can eat our hotdogs (from Walmart) today. I believe that I would gravitate to the Bubba at Walmart side. From reading a couple of posts on here(not yours) I know the Bubba's have a more level thought process.

now i asked you a question to clarify yourself......are you going to answer? my point is that there is an extreme overreaction born of stupidity, fear, and racism in the binge buying of ammo/guns. your question about bubba vs the others w/ rocks and sticks makes little sense. put the american flag down for a second and clarify.

leave 6thgen out of it if you wish to qualify a personal attack. 6thgen can more than carry the weight. you, on the other hand, sound like me 20 years ago. you'll learn inflexibility isn't the path. now go buy some 44 magnum shells, the leninists want your wallet.

That depends. How far down the road of socialism will this country go before the citizens who wish for liberty will act? I believe that is a very legit question. I don't know the answer. Bob, let me clarify a couple of things. I do not hunt, I do not belong to a radical militia nor do any of my friends. What this entire thread is about is freedom and the liberties we are granted by our founding fathers. That is all. I have a gun because there are real threats in this world and when a real threat rears its head and puts my wife and/or daughter in life threatening danger, I will protect them at all costs and I will do so with a gun because it is has the best track record for stopping a threat like the one I mentioned. I hope that answers your question and I am sick of this thread. Over and out.

now i understand...everyone's overreacting like me. i see your point, but i think many who are panicking are mixed up by the confluence of bad economy/new administration. all those folks who have served and seen the rest of the world should know things will stabilize here....without guns in yosemite.
