I remember reading "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" in the 4th grade, so I cannot wait to see in when it hits the big screen. Remember the Turkish Delights? After reading that part I would always get hungry for a turkey sandwich :D
yes, it was a very vivid book! The best.

I'm passing this on to my Tolkien-crazy friend!!! And only because she calls me "Tolkien-challenged". I thought I was HP nuts until I met her- she reads the LOR trilogy at least once a year and has since college. She and Will discuss LOR in great detail and I sit there like a lump.

I am living proof that someone who doesn't like and will never read fantasy, science fiction or anything else like that has been totally wowed by the Harry Potter books. I started the first one just to see what all the hoopla was about and I ended up reading 5 in a row. They are so well written and you almost believe it is all real. And I'm all for anything that will get younger kids to read.

I think for many of us, LOTR and Narnia, were read to us as children by our parents. Then, we pass that on to our own children. And the HP books are the newest generation. As an adult, I don't like science fiction reading at all.

Yeah...like the rest of us on this board??????!!!

My daughter is a Harry Potter fanatic. She says that the new movie is better than the previous times aleph-null. As an experiment, she wants us to watch the first four HP movies, then go see the new one. And re-read all of the books in our "spare" time.

And also she says that we must see Rent - I totally agree. But now that UGA won and GT won, I'm thinking about NOT giving away our tickets on Saturday. Both teams will really be PUMPED!

I mean, how much can you fit into Wednesday through Sunday, and cook a Thanksgiving dinner, too?

I'm not complaining - I love my life, my family, etc. I'm thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
