For locals, this may be a good week to eat those Omaha steaks languishing in the freezer. Of course, any week would be a good week to eat some Omaha steaks.

assessing our water/food/gas/propane supply
making a list
Houston we are ready....:D
 
We need a backup to help us board up in case we can't get in touch with the guy who always does it. We have precut, labeled plywood, ladders, screws, and all of the necessary tools (drills, etc.). Please pm me with any suggestions -- would be greatly appreciated.

Not really. Look at JB's map of the models. NHC projection is right between the GFDN and the GFDL. Both of those, as well as several others, have Ernesto continuing to turn north or even north-northeast. Looks like we're the bullseye for now, but it's still a long way out there and the tracks will change again.

Since I posted that a few hours ago, many of the models have taken a more easterly turn. Let's hope the trend continues.
