Listen to you guys.

"Exactly what one should expect from a fat-ass drug addict."
"Limbaugh is a moron -"
"White-wing, conservatives"

Nice, elevating, debate you have going here.

Here is what he said. He wants him to fail, because his ideas have never worked and will hurl this country deeper into socialism.

RUSH: I'll tell you why. I am hearing many Republicans say that very thing. "Well, we want him to succeed," and prominent Republicans! "Yes, we want him to succeed." They have laid down. They have totally. They're drinking the Kool-Aid, too. They have no guts to stand up for what their beliefs are because they're afraid of criticism. They're afraid of being called racists. They're afraid of not having gotten with the program.

RUSH: -- if he does not eliminate the Bush tax cuts, I would call that success. So yes, I would hope he would succeed if he acts like Reagan. But if he's going to do FDR -- if he's going to do The New New Deal all over, which we will call here The Raw Deal -- why would I want him to succeed?

RUSH: Well, I don't know where what he wants to try has worked. It didn't work in the Soviet Union. It doesn't work in China.

I have listened to this A-hole and I'm not trying to debate, just stating my opinion.
RUSH IS A FAT-ASS DRUG ADDICT.

So much for working together!!! :sosad:

Limbaugh told his listeners that he was asked by ?a major American print publication? to offer a 400-word statement explaining his ?hope for the Obama presidency.? He responded:
So I?m thinking of replying to the guy, ?Okay, I?ll send you a response, but I don?t need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails.? (interruption) What are you laughing at? See, here?s the point. Everybody thinks it?s outrageous to say. Look, even my staff, ?Oh, you can?t do that.? Why not? Why is it any different, what?s new, what is unfair about my saying I hope liberalism fails? Liberalism is our problem. Liberalism is what?s gotten us dangerously close to the precipice here. Why do I want more of it? I don?t care what the Drive-By story is. I would be honored if the Drive-By Media headlined me all day long: ?Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails.? Somebody?s gotta say it.

Simply pathetic.

I heard Limbaugh on Hannity's show when he made this statement, and what he clearly said and meant was that IF President Obama governed as Reagan did, did not increase taxes and did not increase government, then he hoped he succeeded. If he was going to fulfill his liberal campaign promises, he hoped he failed to push those policies through.

The guy is President, not god. If I agree with him on an issue, I hope he succeeds. If I do not agree, I hope he fails. That is definitely NOT saying that in any way I hope the USA fails or is hurt in any way.

President Obama is also not infallible. It is possible that he could succeed in pushing through policy initatives that hurt the country.

I did not wish for President Bush to "fail" either. But I certaily hoped his hairbrained stimulus policy would fail. That is because I thought it would hurt the country. On the other hand, I sure heard several liberals demanding President Bush fail. I suppose you are all sorry and agree your actions were "pathetic."

"if Obama fails we are all screwed"

No, the point is if he fails then we are in fact screwed. He has to succeed for anything to turn around. Would you rather him just tow the line for the next 4 years?

First.
Rush should only be a part of political discourse in so far as he influences very pliable people.

Second.
Are we really concerned about the pliable people?

Third.
If we are..........be afraid.

Fourth.
I think we are not. Not by a long shot.
