The storm, sans ice, is rolling over Walton County at the moment. Water spouts have been spotted just off shore, and a nasty radar red glob is moving NE from the Gulf towards Rosemary Beach. Look out!

Oh no, Pead to the Pod is having this on her birthday?!!!!Hope the weather improves!!! We have snow really coming down right now. Supposed to have 3-5" by this evening!

We were suppose to get that yesterday in Chicago - but all we got north of the city was about 1-2 inches and then it turned to sleet - rain - got warmer as the night went on and is melting now. I have already had enough snow this winter. :bang:

Lost electricity this morning at about 4:30 and it just now came back on. No damage to trees in my yard other than a few minor limbs down. My neighbors aren't so lucky...the lady across the street lost a huge Magnolia tree, it split down the side. Some other neighbors lost some pine trees. The sound of transformers exploding every two minutes along with the green flash is a scary thing to hear and see.

There's a picture on www.ajc.com of a magnolia lost to the ice.

I wish it would take out the magnolia in my back yard. I hate that thing. It smells great, but it dumps a jillion leaves in my yard.

And they are like leather...it takes a long time for them to break down it seems, my neighbors would always blow down into my yard.

Yep. They're beautiful trees but they belong in the woods. Not in my yard.

Well everything will be fine as long as you have a pool guy and a yard guy.
