I did. When you want to have a debate or a discussion in a civil manner without being blatantly nasty, mean-spirited and rude, maybe some more people will engage.

I have no desire, however. Take care.

Don't forget your cross.

Just remember this board is a utopia for a very, small fraction of a tiny minority.
11-02-10 will be D-Day for these folks. You cannot really blame them, their party had the majority in both houses and the oval office, they have no one to blame but their own vote but instead throw insults and smears of the Tea Party. No results,no ideas just rhetoric and this is why Americans are fed up.
I am taking tomorrow off,do a little fishing, then cast my vote for real change.

Are they worse off because of the economic collapse that occurred in 2007 under the former administration and due to the tax cuts for the rich and the unfunded wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Just curious.

Yes, they are worse off than they were in 2007. that's the whole point they're trying to make.

So, electing a tidal wave of Republicans, whose only mantra is "tax cuts and deregulaion" is going to solve the problems in the economy? You seem to forget that tax cuts and deregulation during the BUsh administration is what caused the mortgage bubble to burst.

I'm truly not trying to beat the dead horse to death again, I just want to hear one concrete good idea from you about how the Republicans plan to improve the economy. Let me repeat: tax cuts and deregulation do not work. It has been proven. So what is your next idea?

I have no idea what will come out of this. I don't think the politicians in congress have the nads to do what's needed to be done. It's going to take another major financial crisis, which will probably revolve around our federal debt. That won't happen in the next two years.

I don't think they will improve things much. That needs to happen over an extended period of time on it's own. They'll just stop the democrats from making it worse. ;-)
