A poorly timed "whatever" would get you a smack in the Scooterbug house. So dismissive and rude. Especially coming from a teenager at the end of a lecture.

Most grammatical errors and trite/incorrectly used phrases bother me, but "like" really drives me nuts - especially when it is used multiple times in a sentence.

I agree. It's a grown-up version of "get over it." It would be one of those things in the serenity prayer that we cannot change, so move on.

I don't mind any of them as long as they're used correctly and not for the sake of filling dead air.

(I really hate "think outside the box." I'd rather we change it to "color outside the lines.")
