Adore this scene with Robert Redford and Meryl Streep.

It was bound to happen--first time in almost 3000 posts, and I DISAGREE with Scooty!

I thought the Julie Powell character was perfect as the modern day 30 year old girl who is getting a late start in life and then finding her passion. She contrasted nicely to the real Julia.

Instead of annyoying and whiney, I found her to be, initially, a confused wanderer whose esteem and maturity level slowly percolates throughout the movie!

You didn't disagree with me - I was talking about the BOOK character. Amy Adams rocked in the movie and made her character SO much more likeable than she was in print!

aggieb, I saw It's Complicated with my MIL in a crowded theater in Baton Rouge, and it was funnier than I expected. Lots of laugh out loud moments, including this one from my teetotaling mother-in-law: "I didn't know that one marijuana cigarette could go that far!"
