I like Don Pedro's and Steamboat -- tasty seafood and some Korean bbq. Non-touristy. Great food. Dished out with a minimum of fuss!

I had two simple meals at Great Southern in the past week that I really liked. Even though it's not on the menu, I got two eggs over easy, multi-grain bread, and fruit for breakfast. One evening I ordered a burger and yummy collards (didn't eat the bun because I am trying to cut down on carbs).

Seacrest Sundries, we'll try you soon.

I have not personally tried Seacrest Sundries, but I refer a lot of people there for breakfast and lunch this time of the year, since I don't really know what is open on this end of the A. I will have to give it a try!!!

If you ever find yourself in FWB around meal time, I just tried Stweby's on Racetrack Road about a block east of Beal Pkwy. The fish is fresh off the docks in Destin, the oysters and shrimp are from Apalach, and $7 gets you a sandwich or two tacos and fries. Been a long time since the two of us have gotten out of a fish place for less than $20 including drinks.

I think what lets them hit their price point is that land costs/rent along Racetrack are pretty reasonable compared to a lot of places.

LOL Beachmouse - we'd already planned to get to Stewby's per another locals recommendation.
Came so close to finally meeting you in person, we just got back from a late Stewby's lunch. Folks - Stewby's really is all that and a bag of chips (a heap of spiced french fries, actually). Fresh fish, beautiful shrimp and perfectly cooked oysters (we both had the fried dinner platter). At $12 a plate, one of the best culinary deals we've seen.
