Lady Gaga doesn't have nearly the vocal abilities of Streisand,,,, and remember that Streisand's voice was used frequently in movie soundtracks.

Like her not, like SC says- marketing genius. I never felt Madonna had a good singing voice, either. She was originally a dancer who was smart enough to "meet" the right people and use a poker face.

I do like Gaga's voice a lot - pretty deep and strong. Madonna's wasn't technically great but what she can do with it along with her originality and performances are impressive.

Lady G gave a great performance (second only to pink imo) at the Grammy's with Sir Elton, another terrific marketer who has done pretty well for himself.

To be honest with you, I really don't know what her pipes are like because it seems to be drowned out by the techno beats. The best song I heard that could give me an idea was the one she sang on Idol. I think it was Fernando or some Spanish dude's name. She does have a strong voice.

If he/she is, then he/she's a little light in the crotch department. Even duct tape couldn't help hold a baby gherkin tight enough that it'd not be seen protruding from some of the skimpy bottoms she wears....Lord knows that I've tried to verify the rumor.
