What do YOU use to get the orange stain out of cotton khakis?

After muddin' my way to Point Washington this morning, I managed to drag my leg against the doorjamb of my vehicle. I have washed the dam things FOUR times today. I've tried Shout, Oxi-Clean spray, Tide pen, Dawn degreaser, every time I washed I've used a crap-load of OxyClean. Yet the orange stain remains. They are now sitting with a couple of front-and-back coats of Stain Stick. They have not been dried as I know that would set the stain.

Wesley used to play baseball and his stains came right out. Of course, his pants were made of polyester.

Y'all got ideas, or should I just take them and have capris made out of them?

Its like this I figure. Ya use white wine to get out red wine. So use white mud to get the red mud out!!!!!:rotfl::funn::lol::D No really, just take it down to the bay ( Not far from your house) and try some good ole salt water. It seems to take all the red out when the red clay washes into the bay. Or just dye them Garnet for football season!

thank god you haven't put them in the dryer yet.

I've always had wonderful luck with [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Dial-Corp-04303-Fels-Naptha/dp/B001B32NVO"]Fels-Naptha[/ame] soap.

You should soak the stained area again in cold water, then use this bar of soap as a pre-treatment. Really rub that bar over that soaked stain. Then after a few hours, wash in cold water. Repeat as many times until the stain is removed.

You can find Fels-Naptha on the bottom shelf in the laundry section at your supermarket.

Good luck!

Welcome to Ga and the home to red clay. I  you but..... U R screwed!

Gotta love an honest poster!!

Have you tried "Kids & Pets?" They sell it at Wal-Mart on the laundry aisle. I use it to clean the carpets, and I think I remember it lifting red clay from them. Use the hottest water possible, then rub that in with a toothbrush and let sit for a few minutes. Rinse, then repeat if the stain remains. Whatever you do, don't put them in the dryer until the stain is out, or you will set it forever. Good luck!

Not sure if the red clay is a bad as N.C., but try Resolve Carpet Cleaner as a last resort. Don't ask.
