Thanks for all of the conjectures. There's no way the flag could have fallen off the outside of the mailbox and fallen into the inside of the mailbox. The door of the mailbox was closed after it got it the first time, and there are no seams on top if the mailbox if the flag flipped into the air when the bashing occurred.

I just wish I could remember exactly when we bought the mailbox and look back to see who I had given an F to around that time.

:dunno:

BTW our home invasion was done by a former student and her husband. They did over 25 break-ins in town, but caught. She's out of jail, but he's still in jail because he raped a few women during the break-ins. They stole over a quarter of a million dollars worth of stuff. They hit two houses twice because the woman liked the clothes of the owner and the dining room furniture, and they couldn't fit all the stuff they wanted into one load.

Yikes...oh by the way BR, I am applying to Tulane Law. Something is calling me down to NOLA, I want to help out anyway I can while I am going to school, and the opportunities are certainly there, so we will see what happens.

Jeez, you heard about the cutbacks, right? Makes me sad.

Yes, I did hear about those cutbacks...700 faculty and staff cut from the payroll, academic programs cut, no more grad school, and medical school research positions cut from 300 to 120. From what I understand the Tulane Law is very fortunate considering these other departmental cutbacks, they have not had any faculty trimmings, and the budget seems to have not been affected even though the budget of the entire University has been dramatically altered.
