Actually, Ruston, LA peaches are the best I have ever had. Large & juicy. Georgia peaches that I have picked up at the stands on 98 are good. Most CA peaches are inedible.
 
Colorado peaches are the worst. I feel sorry for the peach people b/c they advertise how yummy they are. Thoughts????


I have been living in north Florida for almost two years and am still waiting to eat a Georgia or S. Carolina peach that is anywhere near as good as a mouthwatering Colorado peach.

Those Western Slope Colorado peaches, grown under the right conditions, were humungous and fat and juicy--they were to die for.
However, I heard that this year there was a late spring frost which gave them some weird condition.
Colorado weather has always been, and ever shall be, a gardener's or farmer's heaven or hell--never much in between.
