Tootsie, that was her Selma, AL speech. She laid it on heavy. Have you ever heard Sen Obama's speech in Selma? It wasn't as heavy southern as Hillary's, but he laid on a little Southern Gospel accent.

I personally don't think there's a man worth voting for. Maybe I'll do a write-in vote for Mick Jagger, as I've done on many occasions in local elections.

 Talk about a problem with the frontal part of the brain......McCain is clearly the most qualified and honest of all the candidates, with the possible exceptions of Hucksterbee and Obama. If McCain scares you , you must scare easily. McCain is the real deal. I don't agree with him on many issues, especially, his comment today that he agreed with Bush about invading Iraq despite no WMD's. But he has the judgement and integrity and consistency of philosophy to warrant trust. What you see is what you get.....no surprises. Oddly, McCain is the candidate to really bring change to Washington!!! He knows where all the bodies are. He knows how DC works and he more than anyone else can change the system. Remember Nixon the anti-communist is the president who opened China and had a reproacment with the old Soviet Union. McCain takes no lobbyist or special interest money. The lobbiests are the ones who should be quacking, not you.

Their campaign managers are only thinking of the next state, the next day, the next interview. Short term thinking and selfishness has cornered our country, and the only person pointing the madness out is Paul. The media paints Paul as a fringe player.

Anyone who lists homeschooling and taxation of server tips as important issues alongside education and our economy as a whole is fringe to me. Talk about target marketing. He's good, I have to give him that.

Electing a President is very serious business. I have said this before on the board...if FDR or HST were alive today they couldn't be elected for local office let alone national office. Voters in the mass media age don't listen and they don't read and they are fooled by the fluff. Each one of the candidates from Paul and Kucinich to Clinton Mccain Obama and Romney bring something to the table. As we study the final candidates in the months ahead, it would serve us all well to look at them in the TOTALITY of their lives and careers. Iowa does that successfully and serves the nation well in that regard. I am supporting McCain because for 35 years he has served the nation and personally has sacrificed dearly. He has been straight and consistent in his philosophy throughout his Washington career. He is the youngest 71 year old I know. He will be the smartest and most experienced guy in the oval office when he meets with his advisors. We have seen what not being the smartest and most experienced guy in the room has led to after the last two presidencies. I believe with every fibre in my body that Islamic facism is the defining issue of our times. I want my president to face this threat with determination and resolve. McCain has been at the forefront of Foreign and National Security issues for the last 20 years.
