women!:lol::wave: well, of course the media must be stumped by a show of actual emotion by a candidate. I guess Hil forgot that she needed to behave like a gentleman. seriously, she should remember that she must present herself more professionally than any candidate in order to be taken seriously, and have a chance in hell.

:rotfl: Actually, she was acting like many of the "gentlemen" on stage. Richardson pointed out that he had been in hostage negotiations which were more civil than the discourse between Sen Obama, Sen Edwards, and Sen Clinton. I'm still wondering why Gov Richardson was in hostage negotiations -- maybe those were the negotiations for the remains of the Americans in Korea or Vietnam.

Tootsie, the key word is "professional," and that SHOULD go hand-in-hand with people who are running for the Office of President. Race, sex, and religion, should have nothing to do with it. I've often said that Sen Clinton is no lady. The other half of that statement is that it is difficult to find a "gentleman" in the race. Again, it is about professionalism, and I happen to think that our President should be professional, and act professional. We want our leader to be able to calmly, yet powerfully, be able to talk with leaders of other countries. We don't want a President who acts like they want to strangle the people with whom they are trying to work.

definitely key SJ. we haven't really seen professionalism in our leaders in several years. do americans really expect it? I would hope so. but, gawd, bush was such a whiney childish inarticulate defensive friggin redneck candidate - and at least half of America went for it. scarey.

Prediction: It will be McCain VS Obama in the end, it will be like Nixon VS Kennedy, a very close one--the youth vote ("change" vote) will come out as never seen before in American history.

I think the GOP is pushing for a Romney win, but I think, unless Obama shoots himself in the foot, you are right on about him being the Dem nominee. Last night, I think Romney backing up Pres. Bush, showed who he really is, and how he thinks. Politicians want status quo, because that keeps them and their friends in business. I have a feeling that they will push hard enough that Romney will win. IMO, he needs to do a bit more acting, to pull it off.

BTW the talking heads on Meet The Press this AM predicted Obama vs McCain in the November election.

I don't particularly like any of the candidates on either side, but I think I'm going to vote for Clinton just because she's as or more qualified than the others, needs a second chance to do something about health care, and I think it's time for a woman to be president.

McCain scares me. I seriously think he has a problem in the frontal lobe of his brain -- the part that controls inhibition -- because of some of the comments he makes. That's actually an early sign of Alzheimer's or dementia.

Their campaign managers are only thinking of the next state, the next day, the next interview. Short term thinking and selfishness has cornered our country, and the only person pointing the madness out is Paul. The media paints Paul as a fringe player.

I have to say I'm surprised to see that Hillary is letting her anger and frustration seep out the way she did last night. I'm making an assumption that her advisers and handlers are strongly suggesting that she needs to appear calm, confident and unruffled right now. Shoot, good PR would dictate that she even crank up the nicey-nice at this point. I think she's going to shoot herself in the foot if she can't pull off a more positive vibe overall, especially if she pulls bad numbers in NH.

I agree. You would think that she would have been advised accordingly to act mature, cool, calm and collected, but Hillary's strategic adviser is also her pollster and herein lies the conflict of interest. Too much emotion. Big mistake on her behalf. She had my ear at the first two questions, then when she went on her rant and went on the attack she lost me.
