Gee, Bob, are you patting yourself on the back once more for being a staunch Republican? I am sorry you feel that I, and other moderate Republicans, are religious( I'm not a churchgoer)but believe our religious heritage is one of our nation's treasures. warmongering (two tours in Vietnam because it was my duty at the time) patriotism ( because I believe in the majority of the working American public and their willingness to do the right thing, not fear). Intolerance (the belief that what I earned and live on is for me and mine and not some welfare recipient who has never worked a day in their life but are capable of doing so). Racism (I don't know where you come up with that one from. Again, you don't finish a military career by being racist) You of all people should know that. Deficit spending (brought on not only by a Republican president pressed to do so by his party but also by a Democratic Congress totally fiscally irreponsible).
Everything you post, to me, appears to lend itself more to a socialistic trend rather than one of capitalistic free enterprise. But then, you're just a really good Republican POed with his party.
my statement went over your head at 50,000 feet....if it does not apply to you, so be it. But my viewpoint has to do with the Bush Doctrine and premptive war. It has to do with a Republican party that has raided the coffers of our country by selling fear of an enemy far above any real threat and simultaneously cutting taxes. Engaging in a guns or butter debate does not make you a socialist nor less of a patriot. Look at your own party and count black participation. done? Repubs have done nothing to reach out to blacks, and are defacto racists by their lack of effort. This week mcCain gave up on Michigan, no doubt due to the large African american population, and their long suffering economy. Again, like other conservative folks on this board, the statement may or may not apply to you. Personally, there's no Repub party left for me. It's been stolen by war mongering idiots. I'm registering as an independent after the election. McCain has run a bitter, negative campaign with his unqualified, goon, attack dog from Alaska. No matter though, as I believe he always knew GW threw him under the bus....currently McCain is headed for defeat while harping about military victory. I've been listening to that garbage since I was a kid, and you were in Nam. "Peace with honor"- Richard Jailhouse Nixon referring to our tenure in Vietnam...sound familiar today? i thought so!

This administration has had more blacks in the cabinet than any other.

Here is a link you might want to check, it is the National Black Republican Association.

http://www.nbra.info/

DId you know Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican?
big effing deal. black participation at this years RNC was the lowest since the early 60s......republican votes by blacks this year will be weak single digits.Yes, MLK was a repub because blacks were traditionally with the party of Lincoln and emancipation. The alienation of blacks to the republican party has happened after the civil rights movement, and accelerated thanks to ronald reagan luring white southern democrats over to the party that didn't include the likes of jesse jackson.

I hope that you will take the time to check out the link and see that there are many famous black Republicans. And answer this how many blacks have there been in any previous Democratic administration?

so all those stupid black folk don't know how vote discerningly? is that it? would you judge a party's desire to get multi racial participation based upon cabinet appointments? that's as crazy as wooing women for hillary based upon palin's ascension. true intent is spelled out in party platform and resulting legislation, and not tokenism. watch the percentages this fall! it's going to be ugly for repubs wishing for black or independent voters.

Well as the news is putting it, the kitchen sink strategy, as McCains numbers are dropping like the DOW, I guess its time to start throwing the sink. Its October, SUPRISE. McCain must know his ship has sprung a leak.

Of course more blacks will vote for Obama he is 1/2 black and according to his book prefers to considered a black. I will not argue that point.
yeah , but mccain's white, and i can still tell he's a dangerous guy, so i don't think 'll vote for him....does not mean obama automatically would get my vote.....hmmm how about mckinney and the green party?? won't all blacks want to vote for her?
