democratic debate is VERY intersesting so far. obama trying to pretend he's a gentleman. it really takes a rather aggressive person to make hillary look like anything other than the shark she is...that's actually a great benefit for her team who really needed her to look softer...both sucking up to edwards voters

so glad i'm an independent when i watch these things. but still praying for an independent candidate. if hillary gets the nomination the republicans will be in a quandry because they'll have another republican moderate to run against mccain.

if hillary wins the nom. is the only way we get an indepedent candidate who would likely be bloomberg, who in the end, would be stealing votes from another moderate republican mccain.

hilary is really kicking butt. i'm very impressed with her answers frankly and i don't particularly love her- but politics is not about personality for me anyway. if we don't get bloomberg on the ticket. i'll def. vote for her. obama has been really evasive, aggressive and won't ever back down when it's clear he's wrong. all things i didn't like about bush and it's not attractive in any candidate.

I do see her as a woman with great ability and power. this is why I think the condescening smirk is inappropriate. Men rarely do this. they don't do a "mother, I know better" look.

mothers do. sorry, it doesn't look presidential to me. but, that's just my opinion of course. if she wants to be president, she needs to look the part. when listening to someone you need to have a face that at least passes for "listening" and comprehending with interest and with respect.

He was talking about Warren Buffett. Buffett said that his secretary is taxed at a higher percentage rate than he is, because some taxes are capped at $200,000 (ie, Social Security), so people don't pay taxes on anything they make in excess of $200,000. So, Buffett and Obama both have secretaries who pay a greater percentage of their income in taxes than they do -- Buffett made $46M last year, and Obama made just shy of $1M (his book did very well).

Higher rate, not higher dollar amount.

Yeah, that Toots is such a slave to the patrimony. She's always telling me to get in my kitchen and remain barefoot and get pregnant. She's a real woman-basher. Sometimes I wonder who twisted her arm to make her pursue her phD...she must have been forced her father or her husband or both...it must have really made her sick to her stomach to be respected for her work and her mind.
