I was just doing a little research on them. For one they are very expensive to begin with. J.D. power give a lot of the models a terrible reliability rating. Overheating, coolant and oil leaks, and blown gaskets is a common occurrence. The people happiest with them know how to fix cars and enjoy spending a lot of tiime doing so.
bingo! i think i am going to keep it, i talked to my mechanic in chattanooga and he thought that i should, i'll get it to him when i can and he can fix it up for me. not real sure what i'm gonna do now, possibly take the tahoe and mr. aggb will get something new or i'll get a saab that i've been keeping an eye on. my mechanic said no, but i think yes.:D i like to 'live' in my cars so to speak, i don't want to have to worry about if my doors are going to get 'dinged' and if my mirror is going to get bumped or any of that. i don't want to feel like i have to park a mile away from everyone else bc my car is 'special'. thanks everyone, your advice has been a great help.

If you like it enough and have alternatives then keep it. It may not be the best vehicle for long trips where you might get stranded. The only downside is you're paying insurance on a vehicle you might not really "need", but if you get enough pleasure out of it then keep it. I've been in that situation myself.

update

went with the saab...93 grade fuel fill up=$27 compared to $57 and 330 m on 1/2 tank, compared to a whole tank. makes me damn happy! some food for thought also, make sure your lights are on before you try your high beams, i called today bc i couldn't get my high beams to work when i needed them last night, my lights weren't on.

and as far as the mutts, i guess they'll just have to hop on in. won't be too much room for them, but oh well.
