A loose gas cap will do that. Happens in my Mazda. Every time it happens sure enough the cap wasn't twisted enough. I just disconnect the battery for about 30 seconds. Pressing the brake pedal helps drain the power out of the memory. You could try that and see if the light comes on again. How many miles on it? Nice photo!

so, we're in the market for a new car. took mine in this am for an oil change, they came out and said i had a blown head gasket. i have a 99 discovery II, to replace the gasket would be $2500, so it wouldn't be ideal to replace it at this time, because more than likely, i would turn right around and put more into it. so, now we have to decide on a new or used car. i love/loved my disco and would love to have an lr3, but i'm going to try to go a little more practical, i think. maybe the outback or saab route.(are those more practical?) my question is, what kind of car do you own, and why do you love it or not like it?
