Why are we comparing the experience of the Democratic Presidential nominee to the Republican Vice Presidential nominee?? This is pointless. A more correct comparison would be to compare McCain's experience to that of Obama, and Palins experience with Biden. Its obvious McCain trumps Obama overall, and its also obvious Biden trumps Palin. If we think experience is important, then McCain is the obvious pick. VPs are largely token leaders, they have very little impact overall on the presidency.
You mean like Dick Cheney? ;-)
.No comparison. Cheney hunts birds, and Palin hunts Moose. Other than in a Hitchcock film, did you ever hear of tourists being warned to stay away from the angry pheasants? http://www.sowal.com/bb/![]()
..Cheney hunts birds and fellow hunters! .....or maybe some brownies with a "doob" in them!

.
Think about it - Obama has been successfully managing his presidential campaign longer than Palin has been governor,
.
And, he WON the nomination over some of the strongest candidates in his Party.![]()
right on. why people keep comparing palin to obama is beyond me. the people have spoken and nominated him as president. he has worked tirelessly and proven to me and millions his qualifications, intellictual ability, leadership ability, etc. palin has proven nothing to the people beyond alaska. I do not approve or disapprove of her as VP on the republican ticket. I Do Not approve of the republican ticket. any ticket resembling bush and his policies is unacceptable to me.I've had a great year, thanks!
One thing to consider when comparing Obama and Palin is this:
Obama made a decision to go after the presidential nomination. No one handed him the nomination. He developed an organization from nothing; he convinced millions and millions of Americans to donate millions of dollars to his campaign; he ran a multi-million $$ campaign against a strong Clinton machine; he won. Yes, I recognize that he's a Senator with "limited political experience"
Palin was handed the VP nomination. And, yes, she is a Governor of a sparsely populated state with "limited political experience"
Do you really think Palin could have pulled off what Obama has done? Their number of years of political experience may bear comparison. For me, that's where the comparisons end.
