(based on rasing a daughter and a son though, I think you're in the ballpark ;-) )

All women can be sweet, but just when you think everything is okay, WHAMMO! Blindsided. :laughing1

Hey - you should get a thumping for saying "WHEN THE LADIES WAKE UP" Some of us have been at work for hours already.

Mike - I will agree at times - not sure it has to do with the sex thing but we both have our high and low moments. I work in an environment with all men except for one other woman - I hired her ten years ago when she was 18 and I would hate to try to find someone else to fill her position and not try to react emotionally to the things that take place in a man's world. She on the other hand says it would be impossible to go work in the "real world".

I wish you the best of luck - I have had my heart broken a few times and it isn't nice.

They can be. Especially to each other. You ever watched two little girls playing? That can get evil for sure.

So it is not only I who needs the curled up smiley with a book over his head.

Look out boys.

By the way, I think the words you guys are looking for are

Women are moody

... and All men are jerks.

That is the Balanced Report.
(I cleaned it up a bit for you.)

By the way Ohiobeachbum - I really wasn't upset - just yanking your chain a bit. Can't get upset with anyone with a avatar like yours.

Hey Mike, I know it sounds cliche, but if it's a real connection, the thread between you will be there, and strengthen with time. You know, people say don't go the "friends" route, but I have to chime in as a female here...guys who can actually be friends with women --real friends, not conditional ones, if you knowwhatimean-- earn so much respect with us, and it can pay off in the long run. I had a guy who was nothing more than a best friend for years. (He was a musician who had answered our ad for a keyboardist.) Well, some of you know where this is going...I ended up marrying him. The strong friendship we forged in the beginning is now what sees us through the tough times that all marriages hit once in a while.

Yes, it's true, sometimes the "I'm just not ready yet/It's not you it's me" line IS a euphemism for "I'm not attracted in that way"...but sometimes it actually does mean that. Be there for her without condition, if possible, and that will end up speaking volumes about your character. Sorry you're hurting, in the meantime, though. Hang tough.

We actually were friends first. I met her last September and we talked occasionally and then lost touch till April when we started dating. We talked last night and she told me that she's knows we're perfect for eachother, she just wants us to take it slow so that we dont end up ruining a good thing. It's hard to slow down when you've already been on full throttle! :D

This is coming from a guy who was determined to never get married or have any kids and be a bachelor all his life. After 18 mostly happy years of marriage and 3 kids later, I can tell you that things have a way of working out for the best. You don't really have any control over what will happen with that certain person. I've always been a staunch believer in '' what's meant to be will be''. Maybe that is too simplistic and kind of corny but I think it's true. And remember this......''there are plenty of fish in the sea''.........if you catch my drift. No pun intended. Hang in there!
