I saw that same sunset from Seagrove (near Dothan walkover) on Sunday. Brought my digicam, hoping to see it the way Kurt might. Failed miserably.
It was a special evening. My 2 y.o. finally started liking the sand (he is such a little priss) and my 5 y.o. clambered all over the place -- loved the little "hills" created by new sand being pushed up onto the beach. He wanted to watch the sunset in hopes of seeing the green flash I'd told him about. Of course we didn't (I've never seen it myself). He also wanted to climb up the dunes and of course I said no, and told him why: They protect the beach and the houses, etc. Then he asked me why there were two grownups sitting in the middle of the dunes in Adirondack chairs.
Can't put anything past a 5 year old. Note to adults: The kids are watching you!
The beach looked beautiful, far better than I expected and nicer than over near Seacrest/Rosemary.
