I love alpaca - doesn't itch me like wool! :D

It's also hypoallerginic. You coming with gaiboy to shear you own? First, you will have to duke it out with DD, she told swgb to get his own gig.

My Dad and I are going to try to get Steve loaded up in the truck next Saturday and ride up to farm to look at some if he is up to it. Looks like the poor economy has also caused some short sales on alapaca's. :D

I decided I wanted a couple since if I have to have animals heads peering in my door, they may as well be wearable and keep me warm. Plus, to boot, they are depreciable on your taxes after 5 years. Are 3 acres enough to qualify for a farm?
:D

 How long does it take to shear one of those little critters?
I'm sure Steve will be happy to get out--hope he can make it.

Alpaca Short Sales!

I don't shear (would be bad for the animals as I can't even shave my own legs w/o cuts), but Mama Scooterbug might be able to sell your wool at the store - they cater to serious weavers and knitters.

Well.....guess what....we are going to get Steve out of the house for the first time since he has been home. He has started physical therapy and I think is getting a bit depressed.....sooooooo.....I told him I was coming to get him....we will have to wheel him down the ramp, put him in his mule (think I can start it and get it around the house?!) ride him out to the car and somehow dump him in the car! Then we are going to a farm to look at this

WoW BB this is good news for your bro! If anyone can whip him out of his funk it's you! Hope to see you soon girlfriend!;-)

Boyfriend! Y'all come on up, we will buy my boy one! I told Steve we will put him in the back seat and he can just stay in the car and peer out the window like a doggie. :D

I really do appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers, we will know next week if he has to have more surgery. Keep praying and sending good thoughts. I'm sure I'd go nuts if I had to stay home for one weekend....don't know how I'd survive months of it! I have been sending him funny cards almost daily and his wife told me how much he really enjoyed them, who knew a guy would like that sort of thing.

Awwwwwwww! That's the cutest little critter I've ever seen, and I bet s/he's even softer than my cat that looks like you!

The only way it could be any cuter is if you put it in 2 pairs of those boots.
