You guys are under the impression that you are receiving negative rep because you hold and share opposing views on a "liberal website". As such, you are proud to wear the red chicklets as a badge of honor.

But here's the rub. There are many outspoken conservatives here. Examples include 30aShopper, Idlewind and Andy A. There are many who take unpopular viewpoints. My favorite example is when SHELLY predicted the bursting of the real estate bubble. No one wanted to hear it. But you know what- no red chickets. These Sowallers wear green badges next to their names.

Not that I have delusions that you care but I still feel the need to say it-

I can assure you that the reason you receive negative rep is because of the perceived manner in which you present your disagreement. Not because you are conservatives in the online land of liberals. You won't admit it but this is a very balanced board (politically speaking). Far more balanced than the physical makeup of conservative Walton County.

For the record, I have personally never given you negative rep points.

This is an example of what I am saying. No need to sugarcoat responses or appease anyone. But why use the negative blanket generalization about a whole bunch of people who likely agree with you on many (if not most issues)?

Whacko is when you wish physical harm on somebody. Take a look at some of your posts. You seem emotionally unequipped to deal with those who disagree with you and just get on with it.

I don't care for Palin, but I also don't care for your dismissing her as "a little woman from Alaska", and I think that she's a strong enough woman that she would take offense as well.

That "little woman" has a very loyal following, and (whether I think it deserved or not) the potential to do big things that would affect everyone. Just my .02.
