What? We all look like Jesus, don't we, and we were made in his image. The Bible and Shroud of Turin tell us so.![]()
The Bible wasn't even written until thousands of years after people were walking the Earth. ;-)I would have loved to have been taught religion in high-school. I had plenty of Southern Baptist taught to me during my youth, but never anything other than Christianity. Hell, people in my Church even thought that Methodists were sub-par. My Junior year of high school, we did take Economics and Philosophy, which I thought was cool, and don't know why public schools don't offer such.
Speaking about God in public places, I did notice quite a few prayers being said at the DNC Convention in Denver.
You always have to love a religion thread started by a guy named Lucifersam.

You got that right, big-time. I think that in my hometown, any high-school religion class would have been limited to main-stream Christianity. Had plenty of that in Sunday school and Church, as well as at home. I would have liked to venture out and explore, learning about all of the worldly religions. I would have also liked to have learned some life classes, too, but I guess all of that stuff, one has to learn about on his or her own.the very Christian right would probably be upset that their children were exposed to non-Christian religions.

King Tut was reportedly born 1341 years before Jesus was born, so I wonder about the accuracy of that statement. The Bible wasn't even written until thousands of years after people were walking the Earth. ;-)
French? Since when did it get in such high-demand? I always wanted to take it, but I think today, we better start to learn Chinese. We had Latin in the 8th grade, and Spanish in 10th and 11th. I think my brother's class, a few years younger, eventually took French. I just had not thought about French class being essential.
Thinking more about it, I'm not sure when we would have had time to take religion during the course of the school day. Except maybe during one of our 30 minute study halls during our Sr. year.
