Christians have this really huge problem with separation of church and state. Their mission is to go forth and witness. This rationale gives them free reign to manipulate the poor and uneducated in the third world, and the chutzpah to wage a never ending battle to permeate every level of government whether it be a battle over creationism, prayer in school, religious displays on government property etc. Yes, I have a very real problem with folks who can't leave others alone. It's rather tiring.

I guess my frustration is that the majority never seems to stand up and point out that despite their huge budgets and satellites they are in fact a minority. Until now. Thank you NoHall for pointing out that this is not the norm, but more the extreme. Sometimes we lump everyone into one large group, it may not be right, but it does happen.

I'm sorry, but I do agree with Bob on some of those points. The need to go forth and spread the word has lead to many bad things, the inquisition, the crusades, and other horrible things.

Growing up I remember that we didn't have sex ed because it offended someones religious beliefs, but we then had a Christmas pageant and respected all cultures and religions by singing Feliz Navidad and the Dradle (sp?) song amongst 28 other Christian songs. This is what passed for fair and equatable when the majority was Christian. I honestly have never seen a Christian person discriminated against ever.

I also find it interesting that Bob is throwing out "hate" and "intolerance", but someone who is Christian tells me I'm going to hell is simply stating a "belief".

Therefore, Sarah Palin must approve of such extreme religious measures.
