OK, so I went back to the trainer yesterday after 3 weeks off and I had no interest whatsoever in getting back to exercising. I thought that people who exercise regularly find it easy to get back to exercises. But my wonderful trainer said that most people find it easy to get off the exercise track and hard to get back on - they just do the exercise anyway and eventually get back to enjoying it. So that was good for me to hear because I was feeling like I should be loving the exercise by now - and I don't. So, if you don't love doing your exercise, you can assume you're normal and just keep doing it anyway.
Don't despair, Paula. The warm weather is around the corner (for us at least
) and that means you can substitute some indoor exercise for outdoor, which I always find easier to do anyway. I've really stepped up my walking and bike riding and when we get down to SoWal mid-April, I'd like to sneak in some kayaking for upper arm strength (*and summer sundresses*).
