OK, so I went back to the trainer yesterday after 3 weeks off and I had no interest whatsoever in getting back to exercising. I thought that people who exercise regularly find it easy to get back to exercises. But my wonderful trainer said that most people find it easy to get off the exercise track and hard to get back on - they just do the exercise anyway and eventually get back to enjoying it. So that was good for me to hear because I was feeling like I should be loving the exercise by now - and I don't. So, if you don't love doing your exercise, you can assume you're normal and just keep doing it anyway.

Don't despair, Paula. The warm weather is around the corner (for us at least  ) and that means you can substitute some indoor exercise for outdoor, which I always find easier to do anyway. I've really stepped up my walking and bike riding and when we get down to SoWal mid-April, I'd like to sneak in some kayaking for upper arm strength (*and summer sundresses*).

I just went and hunted up over an hour ago the original SoWell on Sowal thread from last year and posted on there. I didn't see this thread, it never came up when I did a search. I guess I will get in on this one also. Scooterbug44 replied to my post on the other thread.

Water...let's talk water. Hate it. My question is..if I drink tea, coffee, etc., am I still getting my water in? I force myself to drink plain old water, but I am so hoping someone will tell me it doesn't matter as long as I get it in some form. :dunno:

DD, I found THIS for you. ;-)

sorry DD but no, liquids are vital, but water is necessary above and beyond the liquids.

Also the caffene in the tea and coffee are off setting any gain from the liquid.

Certainly any liquid is better than none, but water is essential to be healthy and lose weight. Have you tried the flavored waters.

I love the flavored waters, like black cherry, peach, strawberry, apple, etc.

I have made some really good dishes over the years, but hubby says that this is one of the best I've ever made. I modified a recipe from the South Beach diet cookbook. It has about zero calories and is easy to make.

Cannellini Bean Salad
2 Tbsp. EVOO
1 Tbsp. vinegar (not white)
1 Tbsp. minced red onion
? tsp. dried oregano (I used fresh basil instead)
2 medium cucumbers, cut into small bite-sized pieces
1 red bell pepper, coarsely chopped
1 (15 oz) can cannellini beans
Garlic salt and pepper, to taste

Whisk the EVVO, vinegar, onions, and herbs. Add cucumbers, red pepper, and beans and stir. Add garlic salt and pepper to taste.

I just made this but subsituted black beans for the cannellini beans and cilantro for the oregano. Great recipe and very healthy!!!

I KNEW it!!!! :clap::clap:Thank you sweetie!!:love::wave:

Yum! I'll have to try it with black beans.

I made a salad last night with brown rice, corn, black beans, green onion and bell peppers and pineapple. Dressed it with pineapple juice and dijon mustard. It was pretty awesome today for lunch with cold grilled chicken. :D

Sounds divine! Here's my .02 on the water. Weight Watchers will allow coffee and tea (not the loaded versions) as a water. No carbonated drinks can count toward your total for the day. Moderation of course is the key. ;-)

Moderation....hmmmmm...let me look that up! :D
Thanks, gttbm. I am quite sure I am getting enough now...I can't drink our tap water (will that make someone happy?)...it tastes like muddy lake water. But, I've been buying in large jugs. (Gordo, shut up)
And, I've been trying some of the flavors, but I find them too sweet. I drink lots of tea, unsweetened though.
