So here is what I have been doing that last couple of weeks. First, I park way out in our parking lot, and I am taking the 3 flights of stairs up to my office. I walk up and down the stairs several times a day. I have been eating Quaker Oats Low Sugar Oatmeal in the morning and drinking water with the Special K Protein Water Mix, the Pink Lemonaide flavor. It is really good. It has 30 calories, 0g fat, 6g Carbs, 0g Sugar, 5g Protein, 5g Fiber. If you don't like plain water, just mix this in with a 20oz. bottle. Eating light for lunch and supper. Going to start working out my BowFlex tonight. The beach is looming ever closer and I must do something real quick!!!
wow! yay for you! are you making it up? that is the way to go, imo. you have enough experience with WW and exercise, etc to do what is needed for you. that's kind of what I'm doing, with the mayo clinic pyramid / eating plan and recipes as a reference for my diet (I need some serious changes in my diet). exercise every day no matter what it is (pilates, yoga, bike, walk, weights).
I'm doing regular ole oatmeal or bran in the morning. lots of veggies during the day along with a glass of veg juice. I'll also be doing some healthy juice meals prepared by my juicey friends.
My new favorite snack are dried cherries since they taste like cherry pie but with 0 fat.![]()
that sounds yum. some friends at the school the other day had some delish veggie chips from fresh market. I have never had any that I really liked - these were delish. but I could get fatter on fresh market snacks, so..
also, while at For the Health of It the other day, I picked up a bag of Maple-Nut Granola (produced by la loba's bakery, ponce de leon, fl). it is so delicious! I've had it as cereal and also just as a small handful for a snack when I was feeling snacky. organic rolled oats, pure maple syrup, pecans, almonds, vanilla, org extra virgin coconut oil, sea salt (9 g fat / 30 g carbo / 4 g dietary fiber / 9 g sugar / 5 g protein).
Lunch: tuna salad on whole wheat toast with lettuce & tom. carrots and bell pepper. veg juice. herbal tea. and I am not hungry.
I wish I liked tuna more and I wish I lived closer for fresh fish. But that's okay, I feel like it's getting easier and easier. Today I worked out with a walking DVD that I got at the library. It was fun and easy but got the heart rate going and I could feel the burn. It was just a mile and I think I can do the 2 mile because that's how much I usually walk outside.
