I'm proud of you gulls! I totally agree that weekends are tough. I tend to lose a pound or two during the week & gain it all back on the weekend. I think I need to become a hermit & quit attending social events (ha - like that is ever going to happen). I have been lurking on this thread and your success has motivated me to get back to the gym - lost 3 of my "beach" pounds. However, it is probably short lived as the doctor put me on prednisone for poison ivy :bang: and I hear that causes weight gain. So keep posting your success stories & hopefully they will continue to motivate me and help me to not get discouraged by the prednisone weight!

Good luck with the poison ivy. You must really have a bad case. Do you have the prednisone pack that decreases by one pill each day for a total of about 5 days? If so, you should be OK.

 Thanks Gypsea! I don't know that it's a bad case - it just won't seem to go away - it's been over 2 weeks. Another doctor tried 5 days of a low dose but it's still here (no nasty side effects from that dose though). I believe the new dose is for 12 days - starting @ 4 per day then weaning down to 1/2 per day. It's going to be tough going 12 days without a glass of wine!

I have taken those packs before and no problemo. It is a major concern when you stay on it for months. Trust me, its no fun. You will be taking it for a short period so you should be great! Hope you see a difference soon.

Still need to work on water intake!!!!!!!!!!! ya'll need to remind me to drink some pucking water.

Good work all you wenches! I got weighed at a dr. last week and decided to face the scale head on (I usually close my eyes, I hate numbers :D). I was pleasantly surprised and loved the cute nurse, who said she would subtract 5 lbs. from my total because I had clothes and shoes on. :rotfl:

Toots...check out my sig for you.

Toots- sounds like the South Park Diet is working for ya!

not as well as carol's south beach diet - she's pretty much sticking to it. I'm just not staying organized enough. it seems like there is some crap going on around here every week that keeps me too distracted. FOCUS!!! drink water!!! eat veggies!!!
