What does one do about the yo yo weight loss, the up and down, I have not changed my eating habits at all and have even walked for exercise 5 of the past 7 nights and after weighing 3 pounds less that one morning the scale showed me back up 3 pounds that next morning. I notice it is much harder for me to lose weight, and I am noticing ankle swelling and have been noticing it for at least 6 months, if not longer, more so in one ankle than the other, although both appear to be puffy and swollen this time.

This stuff is so frustrating. Do I have to quit eating all together? I wouldn't have the flare ups with the digestive issues if I quit eating. And it seems like I cannot eat anything that I really have to chew up like hot dogs as I pay for it afterwards like I did tonight. I've had nothing but heaviness in my upper gut since. :pissed:

Aren't hot dogs full of sodium among other things? You need to watch that if you are experiencing any type of swelling.

I'm really off my schedule and eating habits. I'm not eating badly but it's just not the same as it was. This week is VBS at our church and we have a wonderful lady that makes us dinner every night!

I am down another 1- 1/2 lbs and trying to keep it. I walked a mile and a half today and then worked out with Wii Fit for 30 minutes.

Good new for SoWell on SoWal ~ the buddy system works:

A Brown University study of 109 dieters revealed that those who dieted with a buddy lost about twice as much weight as those who dieted alone or with an unsuccessful partner. So recruit your spouse, your sister, a friend, or join a weight-loss group or online community. It?s a lot easier to lose with support and accountability.

Yeah, I am sure they are but I have not had a hot dog in a long time. I do not keep them here all the time. Those Wii Fit things look cool.

Yeah, a hot dog every now and then won't kill ya. :D

The Wii Fit is funn. I just don't like it when it says I've gained .07 lbs since my last session. It tracks your weight and keeps a chart.

In about an hour we're attending a Skyline Chili Grand Opening. :DNot sure what I'm gonna to eat. I don't think they have a low fat menu. Then we'll head to the pool. I'll have to swim a few extra laps.

It's a beautiful day!

OL, when we were in Chicago over the weekend we had all the famous Chicago goodies like pizza and Italian beef sandwiches and lots of beer to wash it down, BUT (and this is a big BUT) we walked our tails off!! Not only didn't I gain, I actually lost. And I'll pin that on all the exercise we got traipsing around one end of town to the other.

So you go ahead and enjoy that delicious chili (I like it too) and do your extra laps and all will be well. I promise!!!!

There is a certain SoWaller:love: (hint--she just got back from a trip and walked her tail off) who turned me on to those Fat Free Hebrew National hot dogs. I must say they are pretty tasty and no guilt.

 How's everyone? Plugging away here. I lost another couple of lbs.:clap:Down under 150 and I haven't seen that in probably 2 years. I'm hoping my German Father's Day meal won't catch up with me. I rrully, rully wanted to eat a whole cream puff but didn't so hopefully I'll be okay.

I found that doing my crunches and leg lifts on the trampoline outside is a lot easier and doesn't strain my back. My core is not strong and that is goi ng to be my big focus right now.

FYI--the iced tea flavored special K protein water mix is good. I like it a lot better than the pink lemonade. This is the kind you add to a bottle of water.

My topsy turvy tomato plants have blooms on them...can't wait for that first BLT..on whole grain bread of course. ;-)

Okay, that's my update...nothing too excitin'.
