who could forget this? apparently she didn't have a clue about what was going on in the financial side of the biz.

heard a repeat of a fresh air interview (NPR) this morning with Tammy - she got around. and I was surprised to hear her say that she and the gay community had agreed to disagree. even though she accepted them she did not believe in their lifestyle. she felt that she needed to reach out to them anyway. also, the drag queens just love and adore her and often dress like her, make up and all. who knew?

I do not like her PTL involvement, and have always cringed at her looks. But, I think she was sincerely loving and kind.

not to offend anyone, but just to state the facts ... these two were nothing more than upper management of a very profitable Christian message system in which they used to promote a very high scale lifestyle for most of the 1980's.

The unfortunate truth is that they stole millions of dollars and lived quite lavishly in their time.

We all know the facts. And as I stated before, I am a religous skeptic on a good day, and it goes downhill from there most days. But I do believe that people can do bad AND good things in their lifetime, and I was commenting that I found it interesting that so much good came out of her life, when it had the potential to be bad from beginning to end. I wish everyone that did such unjust deeds could at least attempt to atone like she did.

C'mon Bob, the woman had cancer. I hope everyone who saw her realized how avoidable her early death was...she had rectal bleeding for two years but didn't have it checked out because her physician was male and she was embarrased. Not much anyone can do if you let colon cancer have a two year head start. Please folks, if you are better than age 50, have a screening done for colon cancer

So true but that also means that not only Jim but the treasurers, business managers and finance committee members knew exactly what was going on.

i think pretty much everyone knew what was going on, including the public. it is still going on today i would imagine in many other ministries.

I found her more beautiful at the end than in her "hey day"- her bravery trumped her vanity.
