No, she doesn't. Her personal finances are a mess, and she initiated a frivolous lawsuit for money. I may agree that I am less concerned with a candidate's views on moral issues IF they don't make that the centerpiece of their campaign, but this particular candidate is morals-centric and financially ignorant.

Simply saying "Stop spending!" is a simplistic answer to a complicated problem, and I want candidates who have shown that they have the attention span to work these things out, not just throw a monkey wrench in the works.

The only thing louder than all the people clamoring for financial reform, reduced spending, less government, and a smaller deficit is the deafening silence when you ask "HOW?" or "what will you sacrifice to make that happen."

Don't have a lot of confidence that people who can't manage their own finances can manage larger sums well.

Let me digest this down to its most simple form. She didn't win because she's more conservative than Castle or because people think she can win in the fall. She won because people are tired of the same old bull crap in DC and are revolting against established politicians. She won because she's different and not a new shade of what's already there...

My two cents...

Exactly!

I wanted to send you a link to one of many television interviews I did yesterday about the Delaware race and the ongoing battle that's taking place within the Republican Party. Click here to watch the video.

Following Christine O'Donnell's historic win on Tuesday, the Washington establishment launched an all out assault against me for supporting this principled candidate. They say she can't win and that by supporting her, I've helped lose the seat for Republicans.

Well, I've been in the majority with Republicans who didn't have principles, and we embarrassed ourselves and lost credibility in front of the country. Frankly, I'm at a point where I'd rather lose fighting for the right cause than win fighting for the wrong cause.

I'm all for a viable 3rd or 4th party - just a little concerned that the whole "Tea Party" was invented and is fueled by a master lobbyist puppeteer.

Do some googling on the Koch brothers.

Politics, even the part that proclaims itself to be about the little guy, is really all about the big money. Despite the hoohah, the Tea Party, it would appear, is no different than the Democrats and Republicans - funded by the big bucks and casting their interests in a way that makes them sound attractive to voters.

TARP, the Tea Party, and Me | Mother Jones
Even though it was proposed by a Republican president, supported by a Republican treasury secretary and a Republican Fed chairman, and backed by the Republican leadership, two-thirds of House Republicans voted against it.

After the House voted down TARP the Dow Jones plunged 400 points in ten minutes.

This is an interesting retrospective on TARP and how it is being interpreted...

Another Sowaller posted a great article on them. Reading about their interests and the Tea Party's stated agenda is pretty shocking.

Basically they are oil billionaires whose personal and business interests would be VERY well served by less regulation, no cap and trade, not having to provide health care, less concern about preserving the environment, less government involvement etc.

Tea Party equals yesterday's Perotbots. Perot calling blacks "you people", and Glennbeck ranting at the center of MLK's legacy. Perhaps we need a generation or two to die off before attitudes change.

I hate to include myself and my own generation, but you are correct here Bob ."All in good time, all in good time."
