One of the things I find most fascinating about the Tea Party protests is how it's managed to work some democrats into a frothy lather. I'm not sure what's the cause of that, maybe it's frustration that some people might not agree with thier policies or their views. Maybe it's something else, I really don't know. But it sure does give me a "funny tingling sensation down my leg" every time I see it. (The irony of this is the frosting on the cake!)

I thought it was interesting yesterday when I was checking out the New York Times home page after it was all over - you would think that hundreds of thousands of people protesting something in this country would be front page news.. the NYT decided to run a front page picture and story on Obama's dog. That I think sums up the views of the left on the issue - they don't want to hear about it, they don't want to accept that it could happen, and it frustrates the hail out of them when they see it. In that one respect, the Tea Party protests have been a great success. :D To really make this go farther and effect policy though, they need to be bigger, so I think I'll join in on the next one on July 4th. :D

Nah! The people participating are more of an embarrasment than anything else. It just seems funny that whoever came up with this is forever associated with sucking balls and either didn't know or didn't care.

Silence is Consent--you are correct! And is that how you and the protesters operated, and was that, in fact, your mantra in the 8 years prior to the current administration? Were you "silent" on the illegal Irag war that has and will continue to cost us wasted billions and KILLED hundred of thousands of innocent lives, are you "deaf" to the Constitution being ignored dismantled by Bush/Cheney, were you weren't even at the event, but you feel you can inform an audience here?? Yes, silence is consent.

...Or do you just "cherry pick" your particular outrage at your own "whim," or when it is convenient to you? Probably both.

Let me clarify, for one last time, the recipe and the reasons behind the Teabagging Party 2009:

Add one part White Supremecist racists, one part angry, disenfranchised, conservative white Republicans who lost an election (and Faux News), and one part laissez faire capitalists, whose clock ran out on Reagans watch and will, frankly, never return.

Mix until all ingredients are totally "blended" and frothy. Serve up well chilled.

The war in Iraq is not illegal. I was silent because it was the right thing to do given the circumstances and information known at the time. We are free to disagree on that, correct?

I wasn't at the Walton County event - Pensacola instead.

I was not and am still not silent regarding deficit spending. I don't know how to post charts, but the one at this web page: Bush Deficit vs. Obama Deficit in Pictures ? The Foundry
clearly shows the problem as I see it.

I saw one sign that said "Bush Spent Too Much...Obama is Spending Even More." That is an understatement.

I am White and did not vote for President Obama. I am not racist, not angry, not disenfranchised, not a conservative Republican, etc.

Regarding the teabaggers: It is still pretty obvious that some of the wealthier, well educated, elitists, Conservative or Republicans, on Sowal are still finding themselves embrrasingly in bed with their polar opposites in the same party. You can thank Nixon for that.

Must be really uncomfortable and challenging, at times, i.e., the Teabag Party.

Or maybe they are mature enough not to use vulgarity to discuss political views.

Pretty inclusive party, don't you think?
